What this phase does for you

The Benefits of Phase 3

Phase 3 is when the internal changes become visible. Your body is ready to perform.

🔥
Metabolic flexibility
Your body now efficiently switches between glucose and fat as fuel, ending energy dips.
Circadian alignment
Time-restricted eating aligns eating with your body's natural biology, improving insulin sensitivity.
💪
Body composition shifts
Protein precision and metabolic flexibility support lean muscle preservation and fat reduction.
🧠
Peak mental clarity
Metabolic flexibility improves brain fuel supply. Phase 3 is when clients report their clearest thinking.
😴
Deepest sleep yet
Aligned eating windows and reduced late-night eating improve slow-wave sleep quality.
Cravings largely gone
Microbiome shifted, blood sugar stable, hormones regulated — Week 1 cravings are largely absent.

What happens

Your Two-Week Journey

Strategic metabolic activation built on five weeks of preparation.

1
Week 6 — Introducing Time-Restricted Eating
12:12 window — eating within 12 hours (e.g. 7am–7pm). Break your fast with a protein-rich meal. Protein target increases to 1.4g/kg body weight. Electrolytes: sea salt and lemon in morning water.
2
Week 7 — Adaptive Protocol
Based on your Week 6 response, Jana assesses whether a 14:10 window adds benefit for you. Mid-protocol consultation this week. Protocol refined based on your Phase 1–2 results.

We've got you covered

Common Challenges

Your metabolism is recalibrating. These adjustments are temporary.

🍽️
Hunger during the eating window shift
Ghrelin adapts within 3–5 days — the hunger is temporary
  • Break your fast with a protein-rich meal, never coffee alone.
  • If hunger is disruptive, shift your window (e.g. 8am–8pm) rather than abandoning it.
  • Herbal tea, sparkling water with lemon, and black coffee are fine outside your window.
😴
Energy dip in Week 6
Brief and normal — your body is recalibrating its fuel-switching mechanisms
  • Add electrolytes: pinch of sea salt and lemon to morning water daily.
  • Do not reduce calories. Match or exceed Phase 2 caloric levels within your window.
  • If dips are severe beyond Day 5, contact Jana — the window may need adjusting.
📉
Results feel slow
Body composition changes at the cellular level before they are visible
  • Compare across 2 weeks, not day to day. Take measurements at the start of Phase 3.
  • The most significant visible changes occur in Weeks 7–8, not Week 6.
  • Focus on energy, sleep, mood, and digestion — the most meaningful markers right now.
😤
Stress disrupting progress
High cortisol directly opposes fat adaptation
  • 7–8 hours of sleep is non-negotiable. Cortisol management starts with sleep.
  • Reduce high-intensity exercise if under significant life stress.
  • The eating window should not be a stressor. A loose 10–12 hour window is valid.
🥩
Hitting protein targets within your window
1.4–1.6g/kg requires intentional planning
  • Distribute protein across 3 meals within your window, not 2.
  • Protein-dense snacks: hard-boiled eggs, edamame, turkey slices, mixed nuts.
  • Track protein for 3–5 days to calibrate. Most people underestimate what 30g looks like.

Nutritional support

Phase 3 Supplements

Metabolic support to maximise this activation phase.

Always confirm with Jana during your consultation before adding anything new, especially if you are taking medications.
🌿
Ashwagandha (KSM-66)
300–600mg daily with dinner
Directly reduces cortisol, supports thyroid, and improves body composition. Take at night — the sedating effect also improves sleep quality.
💊
Berberine
500mg with two largest meals
Activates AMPK (the metabolic master switch), improving insulin sensitivity. Do not use if pregnant.
🐟
Omega-3 (increased dose)
3–4g EPA+DHA daily
Higher dose supports the anti-inflammatory environment enabling fat adaptation.
CoQ10
100–200mg with food containing fat
Mitochondrial energy production support. Most relevant if fatigue is notable in Phase 3.
🧂
Electrolytes
Daily: sea salt, potassium, magnesium
TRE increases electrolyte excretion slightly. Sea salt in water, avocado, leafy greens, and pumpkin seeds daily.

A Personal Note

Jana — WellClinica
Jana · Certified Functional Nutrition Practitioner
Phase 3 is where clients often say "I finally feel like myself again." That is not a coincidence. You have spent five weeks systematically removing what was working against your body and building what it needed. The time-restricted eating we introduce here is not about eating less — it is about letting your body access the metabolic machinery it has been quietly rebuilding since Day 1.
